Really like the big punch makes the background all by it self.  The bow is a paper pow that was cut with the big shot then glued into the shape.

hello, it;s for you!

Loved the old time phone, and the hello words written vertical are quite different.  Not sure what I used for the background, leaves maybe.

Jet

This is the airplane stamp from the masculine set I purchased.  A jumbo roller did the background and I embossed the purple strip with circles.  Makes me a bit dizzy!

Faux embossed metal

Maybe it is not faux metal because it is aluminum foil.  I learned this technique from Bobbie.  Cut the card stock to size, wrap a piece of aluminum foil around the card stock and secure with regular tape on the back, then run thru the big shot with an embossing folder, and a cool masculine background!

Used a different punch at Billie's and did not remove both sides, so it looks like an interlocking puzzle which I liked the way it looked.

Masculine cards

New stamp set that is definitely a manly set!  Race Car, Jet plane, off road and a speed boat!  Combined with some great words at Billie's and a great man card.
The motorcycle stamp is from Billie and I liked the red and black.

Flowers in a pots

This is another stamp of Billie's that I like a lot, I do tend to make it as a sympathy card, but it can also be a great thinking of you card.  In the 'old' days I would  have wanted to color the flowers, but my style now says stamp it in a great color, mount it on coordinating card stock, add eyelets and ribbon and done!

Lovin' the different shades of green, can't go wrong with green!

Wings a flutter

Teresa designed this butterfly card for one of our monthly swaps, I like the details she included.  She used several stamps to make the background, words, flowers and then she sponged the edges to make them pop!

Since her butterfly was so great, I must have decided to use butterflies too!  I went for the bright colors and using just part of the butterfly which is a nice change.

Pink butterflies

Bright butterflies

Regal butterfly

Crushed curry and tempting turquoise

I do love to take photos of flowers, all kinds I have so many on my computer, I tend to leave the flowers in the garden as they last longer, so taking pictures of them allows me to bring them inside with me. I saw this idea in one of my stamping magazines, I figured it was a good way to get to use my flower photos and make a card at the same time.

Love using the buttons, just a little one for the center of the flower, again using my favorite bright colors!

Jumbo roller for a fast background.  This stamp set is one of my favorites, even if I can't remember the name of it!

I like using my framelets to get a fancy mats behind the stamped images, very easy to use and it looks oh so professional!

Birthday card

My friend Teresa has a little girl and this is the card I made for her first birthday.  Love the colors!  I have several of the flower punches and it is fun to use them with the brads.  I also love this alphabet set, each letter is a different font, which I think is fun!

Swap cards received

These are cards that I received from the ladies at my monthly stamping class with Bobbie.  All of the cards are great, and it good to see everyone's work.  Not sure who made each card.

Quilts today

I saw a 'strip' quilt and thought hey that looks easy, so Billie and I checked out the instructions via the internet and I started to cut the strips.  Then you sew, sew and sew some more!   I did not buy any strips already made, I just cut my own, some were long, some were short, I was trying to not include any pink, maybe trying to make it more masculine?!  I like the way it turned out, then I had my friend machine quilt it and the finished project is awesome, a bit 'skinny' but not bad at all.

Last night was Card Night at Bobbie's (funny how I have 2 friends, well I do have more than 2, but 2 friends who are ladies, but have masculine names, Billie and Bobbie)  My friend and co-worker Diane introduced me to Bobbie and her great classes.  These 3 cards were designed by Bobbie and we made them at one of her classes in the fall of 2012.

Today is Friday and it is a Bunco night for me!  I love to play Bunco, there is a group of  16 ladies who gather for food, fun, laughter, bunco once a month.  We have an awesome time and sometimes I walk away with one of the prizes, always a bonus, but really getting together and playing is what I enjoy most.  Most of these ladies I see only once a month at bunco, it is nice to gather together to catch up on what the prior month held for each of them.
Another card made at Billies, love, love, love ORANGE and this awesome GREEN.  At Billies I like to use her punches, and buttons.
Billie has an awesome selection of words to use, as well as great punches.  I like how I used the circle border punch on the green strip as well as on the actual orange card base.

Greetings!  Tonight I am hosting a Growth Group at my house, it is a stamping Growth Group and several ladies from church will be joining me to create 2 cards.

I used Teresa's stamp set once again and made this thank you card, I like using black or at least a dark color to layer under the pieces, it seems to make the individual pieces stand out.

Hello!  Crafting right along, this card was made at Billie's.  Billie has lots of background paper and I like to rummage thru her left overs and create a card from that.  This was fun as it was punches and little rhinestones.  And the bright colors that I love so much!

Minimum stamping, mostly punches!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!  It is now May, and I hope that the weather allows me to begin planting my garden.  We love home grown tomatoes, and I  tried my hand with radishes, onions and lettuce with great success.

This is a stamp set from my new crafting/stamping friend Teresa.  We get together once a month here at my house to make cards for a monthly card swap.  The card swap is at a Stampin' Up! demonstrators house, Bobbie, we meet once a month and Bobbie plans awesome projects for us to complete.  I invited Teresa to join me and we have a great time with 7-9 other ladies.

I stamped the images when Teresa was here, then took them to Billie's house and put it together and used her words.

Hello Fellow Crafters!  It has been a long time since I have posted anything new on my blog. The good news is that I have been crafting, but obviously not recording my efforts!

One of my favorite sets, the Stampin' Up! Flutterbys(retired)
I worked on this card the last time my sister visited me in March 2013.  She was water coloring a picture for me, blue butterflies!

Butterflies are my favorite and the blue color is great.
